I’m Tony, an Urban Data Science consultant & researcher & educator.
I help NGOs, governments, and international agencies harness the power of analytical tools and emergent technologies to support the development of cities and regions. Previously, I worked in the private sector as a specialist in the design of large-scale computing architectures.
I hold a Master of Science degree in Urban Informatics, a graduate degree in Regional and Urban Planning, and a Bachelor’s in Computer Science.
I have designed and taught quite a few courses on programming, data analysis and data visualization tailored for diverse audiences including architects, urban planners, sociologists and even legal professionals.

Data Science consultant, developing data visualization, spatial analysis and statistical modeling tools for data driven policy evaluation.
Building georeferenced databases, applying statistical models and machine learning to analyze large scale data and test working hypotheses for the evaluation of IDB funded programs.
Bunge & Born Foundation — Research Fellow
(apr 2018 - present) Applying geo data science techniques and tools to study the spatial diffusion patterns of infectious diseases in Argentina.
Developing and maintaining the tools and infrastructure to analyze and combine diverse large scale data layers (Census records, cell phone records, human settlement patterns and road network analysis) to identify critical areas and prioritize resource allocation for public health initiatives.
